![]() ![]() Fries were great and steak was well prepared. Alpenglow: Food: - steak frites ($42) was expensive but good. It’s absolutely stunning but the service (and food to some extent) is lacking. This SHOULD be a 4.5 star TripAdvisor rated hotel based on the hotel itself and amenities. I can now see why there are so many complaints of service issues in other reviews. We are staying at the Montage Big Sky for 4 nights and came down to Alpenglow for a 2pm lunch on a Tuesday right by the bar. ![]() Everything we ordered over a few days was excellent with “must haves” being the grilled Octopus, burrata salad, elk carpaccio, sea bass and fresh truffle gnocchi! Overall a wonderful stay! Looking forward to a return trip in March for the winter experience! Front desk staff, concierge and Cameron and Brea were exceptional! Thank you all!… Diverse Menu and service were top notch and attention to details (and us) were never overlooked. We tested the varieties of an extensive bourbon list, vat of champagne (the wife’s favorite) and anything with “Frank’s blue cheese olives”. Nightly cocktails for happy hour became an event we looked forward to with anticipation. Lastly, highly recommend our experience at Cortina and the lobby bar outside. A Jedi of kinesiology and student of eastern medicine, performed an amazing therapy and great recommendation for an aging athlete. Also want to mention my guy Shaka, who gave easily the best sports massage in 25 years. Elegant, great amenities, indoor pool was exceptional and refreshing (cool, but perfect). Spa was on easily par with other Montage locations. The outside areas were simply breathtaking, and highlight the beauty of BigSky (why we chose this destination). The views are simple amazing from common areas, room, spa and dining options. It is a perfect compliment of rustic Montana with modern refinements throughout. However, this hotel is one of the most beautifully designed / decorated I have seen. This is a new property with a small amount of construction going on in the surrounding areas of the area. We were unable to visit over winter so booked a late summer trip. This was our 5th Montage location and felt compelled to share a review based off previous reviews listed. It’s intimate, has sweeping views, and the staff has all been kind.… We had such an amazing trip we plan on returning. Olga was wonderful as well as spa manager, Megan. We also packed an ice cooler with snacks from his market before going into the park. The chef in charge of the bakery made the most amazing cake for my mom. Thanks to the GM who greeted us upon arrival. My sister and I had Archery, I also booked a mount bike tour, and had an amazing oxylite facial…. We loved just staying at Big Sky and utilizing it’s amenities. We toured Yellowstone for two days and that was ample. We did booked one night at the old faithful in so we would not have to return to the montage. Parents have always wanted to go to Yellowstone and staying at the Montage is the way to do it. This was the latest after, Laguna, Palmetto, Los Cabos, and Kapalua. Ever since we have been on a mission to see them all. She has always loved Montage after her first trip to Montage Laguna over 7 years ago. We traveled to this hotel for mom’s 80th. Cannot rave enough about our experience at Montage Big Sky.
